Murat is a Canadian College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine graduate who also holds a diploma in the physiotherapy assistance program from Nova Scotia Community College. His journey to cure and understand more about himself started a decade ago life coaching and then teaching yoga. Murat later combined those two skills by conducting hikes as part of a therapeutic program for high-profile company executives, most of whom were his acquaintances from his previous career in finance. Discovering medicinal plants during those hikes was a conduit to the next phase of his journey to study clinical herbology in Boulder, Colorado, which was inevitably followed by intense studies in Oriental Medicine.
Acupuncture, moxibustion, fire cupping, gua sha, Tui Na massage therapy, dietary medicine, emotional awareness, and promotion of easy-to-fix lifestyle changes are all within the scope of Murat’s practice as a holistic medicine practitioner. He is also a master of Qi Gong and promotes practical daily routines to address mental and physical health, and ensure quality aging.
Murat’s mission is to advocate for and practice road-tested Oriental Medicine and revive what is forgotten. “Educate, support, and let go” is his motto which only intensifies his passion for educating his patients about their holistic wellness to build a better understanding of the aspects of both individual and collective healing.
Murat is an avid hiker, an outdoor swimmer, and an enthusiastic gardener. He considers himself a lifelong student of human sciences.
