Mya was born and raised in Invermere, where growing up surrounded by the mountains helped
shape her passion for health and movement. This led her to pursue a Bachelor of Science in
Kinesiology, with an Embedded Certificate in Mental Well-being and Resiliency, at the University
of Calgary. She then completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of
Alberta.
As a recent graduate, she has up-to-date knowledge, of the latest research and evidence to guide her practice. Her treatment approach combines manual therapy, individualized exercise programming, and
education to address the underlying causes of injury and pain, while promoting long-term health
and self-management.
Mya enjoys working with a wide range of conditions and supporting individuals of all ages and
activity levels, whether the goal is returning to sport, work, or everyday life.
She has experience working with a variety of musculoskeletal conditions and injuries, as well as
geriatric and cardiology populations in both pre- and post-operative settings. She also has experience and a keen interest in working with a pediatric population. This includes infants with torticollis, plagiocephaly, and other
motor concerns, as well as children and youth with neurodevelopmental and general orthopedic
conditions.
Outside of the clinic, she enjoys everything the valley has to offer, including hiking, skiing, wake
surfing, and spending time with friends and family. She is excited to be back home in Invermere
and to support her community.

A hand therapy assessment, led by a certified hand therapist, entails a thorough evaluation of hand, wrist, and forearm conditions and injuries. In some cases, a custom splint may be crafted to aid in healing or address specific conditions. For post-operative individuals, prompt contact is encouraged, as rehabilitation timing can be critical for optimal recovery.
First time at the clinic, assessment of a new injury, or more than 6 months since your last treatment.
This one hour session involves assessment and treatment of your pelvic health concerns. It can include an internal exam of pelvic floor function (with clients full consent), manual therapy, exercise prescription, and education.
