Nancy has been a member in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) since graduating from the highly regarded Sutherland Chan School in Toronto in 1990. She is also a life member of the Registered Massage Therapy Association (RMTAO). In 2010 Nancy completed the certification process in the Dr. Vodder method of Manual Lymph Drainage and Combined Decongestive Therapy. She has also become a member of the Lymphedema Association of Ontario (LAO).
Nancy has remained keenly interested in her field, and has taken numerous courses both to keep up to date with current theory, and to learn new techniques. She has studied Craniosacral Therapy with the Upleder Institute, as well as Grace Chan, DOMP; Hot Stone Massage, Strain/Counterstrain, Positional Release, Low Light Laser Therapy, and Functional Therapeutic Taping for RMTs, to name a few. She enjoys being able to utilize many of these techniques into her approach for each individual treatment. Nancy has also incorporated the use of Low Light Laser Therapy and has seen tremendous benefit that LLT treatments provide in speeding healing, reducing swelling and addressing acute and chronic pain. She has also continued with specialized courses within the Manual Lymph Drainage umbrella and has completed training in Advanced Bandaging Techniques, Leukotaping, Wound Management from University of Victoria, and garment fitting courses from Solaris, Valco & Peninsula Medical.
