Naomi completed her physiotherapy degree from the University of Melbourne in 2002. Additionally, she is a certified Polestar Rehabilitation Pilates instructor, anatomical acupuncturist, Gunn IMS, women's & men's health physiotherapist, and concussion trained practitioner.
Naomi specializes in many areas of treatment and functional rehabilitation including rock climbing injuries, lumbopelvic dysfunction, chronic pain syndromes, concussion injuries as well as treating pre and post natal care, women’s and men's health, core stability, and pelvic floor retraining.
She works for the Revelstoke Grizzlies Hockey team providing on ice support, treatment and assessment during the games and treatment in the clinic of the players.
Naomi has presented workshops in Australia on pelvic floor function and upper limb/shoulder stabilization and has published an article regarding knee pain treatment and prevention in an Australian Rock Climbing magazine.
Since arriving in Canada in 2011 she has published articles for Pain BC, as well as been interviewed for a Podcast for Pain BC. She has developed a free online rehabilitation program for complex pain patients in the areas of back pain, knee pain and hip/pelvic pain. She presented for the ACC Columbia Mountains Section on ‘Pushing Boundaries in Climbing’. She attends the Canadian Medical Climbing Symposium to stay up to date on all climbing injuries and training techniques.
Naomi is a mother of two adventurous boys and is more than just a rock climber. She loves all mountain sports as well as being a passionate hockey player, tennis and pickleball player, competing in athletics as a sprinter, weight training in the gym and feels the constant drive for movement.
