This appointment is for ongoing treatment after you have already completed an initial physiotherapy assessment. It includes reassessment of your progress, hands-on treatment, exercise progression, and updates to your treatment plan based on your current needs and goals. Please Note: This appointment type is for follow-up care only. It is not intended for new injuries or new areas of concern, or for clients who have not had an initial assessment within the past 8 months. If any of these apply, please book an Initial Assessment instead.

An ICBC Initial Physiotherapy Assessment is a comprehensive evaluation for individuals who have been injured in a motor vehicle accident. During this first appointment, a registered physiotherapist will review your accident history, current symptoms, medical background, and how your injury is affecting your daily activities and functional abilities. The assessment includes a thorough physical examination to evaluate movement, strength, mobility, and any impairments related to your injury. Based on the findings, your physiotherapist will develop an individualized treatment plan focused on pain management, restoring function, and supporting a safe return to daily activities. Initial treatment, education, and guidance on activity modification may begin during this visit, with ongoing care provided in accordance with ICBC guidelines. Please note: A valid ICBC claim number is required at the time of your appointment. You are eligible for up to 12 weeks of treatment from the date of your motor vehicle accident, subject to ICBC approval. If your claim is denied, you will be responsible for payment of the assessment and any services provided.

This is Part Two of your Physiothearpy & Kinesiology Assessment. During this portion of your combined assessment, a kinesiologist evaluates your movement patterns, posture, and functional abilities to identify areas of imbalance, restriction, or weakness. This information complements the physiotherapy assessment, allowing us to create a coordinated, personalised plan that supports your mobility, strength, and overall wellbeing. Please Note: Part One is required prior to booking, please call our clinic to make arangements for this session.

A Physiotherapy-Delegated Kinesiology Initial Assessment is designed for clients whose care is guided by a registered physiotherapist and delivered in collaboration with a kinesiologist. During this initial session, the kinesiologist will complete a detailed assessment of your movement, strength, mobility, and functional limitations, based on the physiotherapist’s delegated treatment plan. This appointment focuses on establishing a safe, individualized active rehabilitation program, which may include therapeutic exercise, mobility work, and functional training to support recovery and return to daily activities. Ongoing kinesiology sessions are supervised and adjusted in coordination with your physiotherapist to ensure continuity of care and progress toward your rehabilitation goals. Please note: A physiotherapy assessment is required prior to booking this kinesiology appointment. Depending on your extended health insurance coverage, a physiotherapy assessment is required to be eligible for reimbursement.

Based on the findings, your physiotherapist will develop an individualized treatment plan focused on pain management, functional recovery, and a safe return to work. Education, early treatment strategies, and guidance on activity modification may begin during this session, with ongoing care coordinated in accordance with WorkSafe guidelines. Please note: A valid WorkSafe claim number is required at the time of your appointment. Coverage is subject to WorkSafe approval. If your claim is denied, you will be responsible for payment of the assessment and any services provided.
