Neil holds strong convictions regarding freedom of choice in healthcare, the advantages of holistic approaches, and the body’s innate healing capacity. He recognizes how tissues can be guided toward a healthier trajectory, often diverted by illness or injury. Massage represents one of many holistic modalities, and he appreciates its ability to support the body by delivering essential stimuli through diverse techniques honed from his extensive training. Massage operates on multiple levels, addressing not only physical structures but also influencing the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems, the primary regulators that pursue equilibrium and harmony within the body.
Neil completed his training at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy, Halifax campus (CCMH), earning credentials as a Registered Massage Therapist. He graduated on the Honour Roll of his class. During his studies, he discovered a profound interest in myofascial release therapy, prompting him to pursue advanced specialized training to enhance his effectiveness as a therapist for his patients. Additionally, Neil trained in Manual Lymphatic Drainage through the Vodder School International, the originating institution for lymphatic drainage techniques. He achieved qualifications in levels 1 through 3, establishing him as an applied lymphatic therapist and lymphedema therapist, enabling him to treat individuals with lymphedema, lipedema, post-cancer conditions, and acute injuries to alleviate swelling and accelerate healing.
Neil acknowledges that no universal solution exists in life, a principle that applies equally to injuries and illnesses. He offers preferred treatment recommendations while respecting that patients possess the deepest understanding of their own bodies, remaining receptive to alternative options.
His passion lies in alleviating pain, improving function and well-being, and creating meaningful positive impacts in patients’ lives whenever possible. He also values the profound benefits of a relaxing massage that induces a deep parasympathetic state, fostering enhancements in the body and immune system.
Neil is proficient, focused, empathetic, compassionate, intuitive, and deeply committed to healing. He embraces lifelong learning in myofascial techniques, manual lymphatic drainage methods, and beyond, continually striving to deepen his knowledge of the human form and deliver the highest standard of care as a therapist for his patients and his own professional growth
