Nicholas Yorgason grew up in Southern Alberta. He grew up playing hockey, golf, rugby and soccer. Growing up playing sports led Nicholas to pursue a career where he could give back to the sporting community.
Nicholas holds his Doctor of Physiotherapy from the University of Melbourne. Prior to obtaining his Physiotherapy degree, he attended the University of Lethbridge where he completed his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. Between these two degrees and work experience at the Brent Sutter Sports Medicine Clinic, Nicholas has found a passion for helping individuals recover form injuries and return to sport successfully.
Nicholas combines his exercise expertise and knowledge of the human body to create a service that helps clients achieve their desired outcomes and goals. He continues to maintain relationships with the Brent Sutter Sports Medicine Clinic for triaging of injuries.
Nicholas is certified in Acupuncture Level 1, Functional Dry Needling level 1 and Selective Functional Movement Screens Level 1 and 2. His areas of special interest include sporting injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and return to sport testing.
In his spare time you can find Nicholas on the golf course or partaking in an adventure with Chelsey and their dog Samson.

Nicholas will perform a top down movement screen to analyze any mobility restrictions you may have that are preventing you from swinging your best. This screen is known as the TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) golf screen. He will also measure key muscle groups that you need to create a powerful and efficient swing. This isn’t just any strength assessment, this strength assessment is facilitated by VALD technology, the VALD Dynamo and VALD ForceDecks. This technology allows us to take the guess work out of strength and power testing and helps us know for sure what we need to target. A exercise program will then be designed to help address the target areas identified in the assessment. Following the assessment a complimentary 30 minute re-screen will be booked for you by your practitioner
You need to have gone through an Initial Assessment to book this option. Treatment includes a guided progression of mobility and strength exercise programs. Additional treatment that may be provided: manual therapy, soft tissue work, joint mobilizations, passive stretching, etc.
A pre-injury assessment tool to screen athletes for their current level of neurological, vestibular, and cognitive function. This information is extremely valuable in providing future providers with baseline data that can be used to determine the extent of injury following a head trauma and concussion and guide future treatment and recovery. This should be conducted prior to an injury and prior to each season of play.

The junior golf physiotherapy treatment is designed to help junior golfers manage and prevent injuries that can occur during training or playing.
This includes re-assessment of key measures based off of your initial assessment findings, exercise therapy, progression of your exercise program, and physiotherapy treatment.
Comprehensive Initial Assessment and Treatment to be provided within the session based on your injury and presenting condition. This will also include an individualized exercise program as well as access to digital check-ins throughout your time with us.
The Sport Readiness Screen is a combination of strength, functional movements and power that provide you with an overall view of your current level of abilities. It plays an important role in the transition from rehabilitation to performance and is an integral part of injury prevention and preventing re-injury. The gold standard for return to sport testing is to have both pre and post injury data available for the individual to ensure a safe and effective return to sport or activity. This can therefore be completed by a healthy individual as baseline testing or for an injured athlete wanting to safely return to his sport.

This assessment will include a thorough history of your dizziness and/or vertigo as well as various tests to determine the cause of your dizziness. An exercise program to assist with your deficits will then be provided. Included in the cost is a complimentary check in that will be booked after the session by your practitioner
