Nicole always enjoyed playing sports throughout her life, not only to stay active, but to build long lasting relationships with her teammates. She feels honoured to have had the opportunity to represent both Canada & Greece on their national field hockey teams. Being an elite athlete drove her to a career in health care. This began at York University where she studied Kinesiology. Wanting to further specialize, she went on to study Podiatric Medicine at The Michener Institute, graduating with distinction. To give back to her profession, Nicole strives to mentor the next generation of Chiropody students. In 2015 she received an award of excellence in clinical teaching and supervision. She then furthered her career at LMC Healthcare, where she worked as the Director of Chiropody within a large multidisciplinary healthcare team. Since it’s inception in 2016, Nicole grew the Chiropody practice at LMC to serve more than 10 cities throughout Ontario & Quebec. In 2020, she was published in the Canadian Journal of Diabetes which highlighted the prevalence & risk of diabetic complications in the foot. As a healthcare advocate, wife, and mother of 3, Nicole has always been dedicated to helping patients and their families achieve their physical mobility goals, no matter their age or health status. This passion ultimately motivated Nicole to open a clinic of her very own - Asteri Family Foot Clinic.
