Nicole is a physiotherapist who graduated from the University of Alberta with a Master's of Science in Physiotherapy after attending Dalhousie University for her Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology. Beginning her career at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton on surgical recovery and trauma units, Nicole now also works with patients ranging from ICU to geriatrics at the Regional with a focus on strength and mobility to enable patients to return to a higher level of function after injuries, surgeries, and illness. Drawing on her years of experience working with varsity athletes to centenarians, and everybody in between, Nicole believes in empowering patients to live a healthy and enjoyable life in the present while taking steps to age gracefully and as independently as possible.
Growing up Nicole played soccer, however her true passion was figure skating where she competed at a provincial level in Alberta. After finishing high school, Nicole became a professional figure skater with Disney on Ice and performed in 32 countries in 3 years before hanging up her skates to attend university. Recently, Nicole has found joy in attending dance classes in her spare time, returning to her artistic and athletic roots.
