Olivia is an energetic and compassionate practitioner who brings a fresh set of eyes to athletics and Physiotherapy. She has a special interest in treating runners/triathletes as well as young developing athletes. Olivia implements an individualized approach to help clients reach their goals providing them with tools to maintain their health. In addition, specifically for runners, she will develop a return to run program tailored to each athlete's needs.
Olivia has gained a diverse set of experiences through her Master’s in Physiotherapy at UBC and her Honors Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology Co-op with a minor in Rehabilitation Science from the University of Waterloo, Ontario. With a passion for ongoing learning, Olivia has taken continuing additional courses to gain expertise in treating runners, concussion, and advanced integrated musculoskeletal levels. For a full list of courses please see below.
Her love for working with athletes began as a youth triathlon coach when she was in highschool. This passion grew throughout her undergraduate degree where she gained practical experience as a student athletic trainer. Her co-op placements diversified her experience by touching on a number of fields such as kinesiology, biomechanics in rehabilitation, exercise performance physiology and injury prevention biomechanics research.
As an athlete herself, Olivia has always understood the importance of the role of a physiotherapist in the life of an athlete. She first started competing at the age of 8 years old in alpine ski racing and triathlon. Now, outside of the clinic you can find Olivia adventuring or training for an upcoming race. During her university years she competed on the Waterloo varsity cross country team and the UBC triathlon team. In September 2023, she represented Team Canada at the World Age-Group Championships in Pontevedra Spain.
