The postnatal period (or fourth trimester) can be a challenging time with healing and (re)learning new skills as a parent/caregiver with a new baby. A duo massage session can help ease this transition by relieving tension while encouraging bonding. This offering is most appropriate for babies 0-3 months before baby starts rolling. For babe’s 30 minute session, we use a positive and gentle touch to promote ease of feeding, healthy development, and to soothe the nervous and gastrointestinal systems. This will help support the baby’s transition from inside the womb to the world outside. The parent or caregiver 30 minute session will focus on relieving postnatal or fourth trimester discomfort and promoting relaxation in order to reset the body and mind. This will facilitate labour recovery by improving circulation and easing sleep, and reducing aches and pains from caring for a newborn. The reduction in mental and physical stress will allow the body to heal and produce milk more effectively.
