Dr. Olivia blends her extensive background in cardiac nursing with her passion for naturopathic medicine to empower women in optimizing their heart and hormonal health, particularly through the menopausal transition.
Dr. Olivia is on a mission to remove heart disease as the top killer of women through awareness, advocacy, and evidence-based solutions.
For the past 21 years, Dr. Olivia has gained invaluable experience working as a nurse in general cardiology, cardiac critical care, and cardiac recovery. Having witnessed firsthand the impact of cardiovascular issues on women throughout her nursing career, Dr. Olivia was inspired to pursue naturopathic medicine and offer comprehensive care that addresses women’s unique risks, and inequalities with respect to women’s heart health care.
Outside of her clinical practice, Dr. Olivia is committed to education and advocacy, spreading awareness about the importance of integrative approaches to women's cardiac and hormonal health. She conducts public workshops, lectures to other health care providers, writes articles, and has had podcast appearances, striving to inspire and empower women to prioritize their health and well-being.
Dr. Olivia is committed to ensuring that every woman she works with is supported, well-informed, and is empowered to advocate for her own health. She deeply believes in the importance of a collaborative relationship between practitioner and patient, fostering open communication and shared decision-making to achieve the best possible outcomes.
With a commitment to holistic wellness, she brings a unique perspective to her practice, merging conventional medical knowledge with natural approaches to support women’s perimenopausal, post-menopausal and cardiac health.
Through personalized treatment plans that honors each patient's unique circumstances and goals, she aims to optimize their heart, hormonal, and overall health and well-being, blending the best of both worlds to help women thrive, heart and soul.
Outside of her work, Olivia will often be found in nature, hiking, biking or camping. She is a huge animal lover, and volunteers with DogTales Dog Rescue and Animal Sanctuary, and is also a volunteer for the R.I.S.E program to support the mental health of staff at Southlake Regional Health Centre.
