AjouterOscar is a registered speech-language pathologist who works with adults experiencing voice, swallowing, and throat-related breathing difficulties. His practice focuses on conditions that affect how the upper airway functions during everyday activities such as speaking, breathing, eating, and exercise.
He has specialized training in endoscopic evaluation of voice and swallowing, which allows him to directly visualize the vocal folds and throat during assessment. This provides valuable information about how the larynx and swallowing system are functioning and helps guide precise, individualized treatment.

A central area of Oscar’s work is supporting people who experience throat tightness or breathing restriction related to inducible laryngeal obstruction (ILO). He helps patients develop practical strategies to improve upper airway control and reduce symptoms during exertion, stressful situations, or daily activities. He also works with athletes and highly active individuals who want to optimize upper airway function so breathing remains efficient and unrestricted during training and competition. In addition, Oscar supports individuals with underlying lung conditions who want to improve upper airway coordination and breathing efficiency.
Oscar is also trained in the Speak Out!® program for individuals with Parkinson’s disease, which focuses on strengthening voice and supporting clear, intentional communication.
He believes that effective care begins with helping patients understand what is happening in their body. Oscar emphasizes clear explanations, collaborative care, and practical tools that patients can confidently use in their everyday lives.

A comprehensive swallowing assessment. This includes an assessment of current swallowing skills, goals, and a report. We use the Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) as a key part of the swallowing assessment, meaning you get an objective analysis of swallow function.
We are offering group therapy for people with chronic cough. This is a group that will teach strategies and provide information to people who have a chronic cough that is non-responsive to other medical intervention. Trained clinicians guide you through strategies and therapy programs to to reduce your chronic cough or throat clear. You may benefit from this group if: Your cough has been non-responsive to puffers, medications or other treatments You often feel that there is a lump in your throat Your cough is dry or unproductive You throat clear constantly You have a hoarse voice
