Hi, I’m Oscar, a licensed physiotherapist originally from the Philippines. I completed my
physiotherapy degree at Lorma Colleges in San Fernando City, La Union, where I was
recognized with the Best in Clinical Internship award for my work during clinical training.
I’m fluent in both English and Tagalog, and I’m passionate about providing compassionate,
personalized care that respects each person’s unique background and needs. I truly believe
that effective communication and understanding are key to helping clients feel supported
and confident in their rehab journey.
My clinical experience includes working with individuals recovering from strokes, spinal cord
injuries (SCI), musculoskeletal conditions (MSK), and post-hip surgeries. I take a holistic
approach to care which focuses not just on physical recovery, but also on helping people
regain independence, mobility, and a better quality of life.
Before becoming a licensed physiotherapist, I worked as a Physiotherapy Assistant in the
orthopedic in-patient unit at St. Paul’s Hospital under Providence Health Care. That
experience gave me a strong foundation in collaborative care, working closely with
multidisciplinary teams to support patients through recovery.
Currently, I’m also part of the Personalized Support and Stabilization team at Vancouver
Coastal Health, where I continue to provide evidence-based treatment focused on long-term
wellness and positive outcomes.
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy exploring Vancouver’s beautiful trails, hiking, cycling, listening to
music, and dancing. Staying active is a big part of my life, both personally and professionally.
I look forward to working with you and supporting you on your path to recovery and wellness.
