Patricia has a diverse industry background after spending time as a traveling occupational therapist in the USA. In recent years, she has focused on specializing in early childhood development. She has worked with infants and toddlers with developmental delays secondary to complex medical diagnoses (e.g. Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, congenital and genetic conditions) or environmental factors (e.g. substance exposures, abuse/neglect).
Patricia has coached parents and caregivers on therapeutic strategies that could be incorporated into daily routines to facilitate their child’s learning and achievement of crucial milestones. Patricia is passionate about helping young children and hopes to empower parents by giving them the skills they need to maximize the potential of their little ones.
Patricia graduated from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia with a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy. She is a board-certified occupational therapist in both Canada and the United States. She is in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and several state boards in the USA.
When Patricia is not treating or coaching clients, she enjoys traveling, exploring the city, spending time with family, and playing with her dog.

This appointment takes place in person at the clinic. This appointment is for those that: *Want to ensure that your baby's development is on track *Want to make sure that your baby is building all the developmental skills and abilities needed for their age *Want a professional opinion by a pediatric specialist in infant development to address questions or concerns about your baby's development. *Find that their baby is difficult to settle/over-responsive, or conversely under-responsive *Find that their baby is not really noticing sounds/sights and may not be meeting milestones In this appointment, the Occupational Therapist will assess your baby's development, looking at physical, cognitive, social-emotional status, adaptive behaviour and functional language skills for age-expected development. This assessment package includes one 45-60 minute assessment appointment as well as a full report and individualized plan for your child. Based on the findings of the assessment, the Occupational Therapist will provide a report by email including individualized recommendations for your child such as resources, parental education on development, play skills, referrals as necessary, and more. These recommendations will depend entirely on the findings as well as the needs and context of each child and family. Further follow-up appointments can be booked as necessary, including to review the particulars of the report.

This visit will consist of a review of concerns and medical history, a detailed assessment and treatment plan by the end of the session.
