Penny tailors each treatment to the individual, understanding that every body tells its own story. She has a special interest in prenatal, postpartum, and pediatric massage, supporting women and families through the many physical changes that accompany pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood. Drawing from both her clinical training and her lived experience as a mother of four, she works to create a space where clients feel understood, safe, and cared for.
Beyond maternal and infant care, Penny is fully trained and comfortable treating a wide range of conditions, offering therapeutic, relaxation, and restorative massage for clients of all ages and needs. Her goal is always to help each person feel supported — whether they are seeking pain relief, stress reduction, or simply a moment of rest.
Massage has been a natural part of Penny’s life since childhood. Growing up in India, she watched her mother and grandmother lovingly massage the babies in their family — her cousins, and later her own children. When her first two children were born in India, they guided her hands and taught her the traditional techniques of infant massage and postpartum care. After moving to Canada and welcoming two daughters here, Penny found herself returning to these same teachings, remembering exactly how she had been shown to support a baby’s comfort, a new mother’s recovery, and the wellbeing of the whole family.
These early experiences also shaped how Penny understood therapeutic touch. She remembers massaging her grandmother when she struggled with arthritis — seeing how even a short, thoughtful treatment could ease pain and brighten her grandmother’s day. She has always loved the quiet joy of soothing a cranky baby with gentle, rhythmic touch. These moments taught her the power of connection, awareness, and presence — lessons that continue to guide her as a Registered Massage Therapist today.
Outside of the clinic, Penny enjoys creating natural skincare remedies, continuing her education, reading, and spending meaningful time with her children. Creative activities, crafts, and hands-on learning together are some of her favourite ways to unwind and connect with them.
Penny looks forward to supporting clients at Mulberry Wellness with care that is professional, therapeutic, and tailored to each individual’s needs.

Ideal for individuals already familiar with Lymphatic Drainage, seeking targeted focus on specific areas of concern (face, arms, legs, abdomen) rather than a full-body detox. Start with an initial assessment lasting 60 minutes. This comprehensive session comprises: 15-Minute Assessment and Education: Our Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) will conduct a thorough assessment to understand your individual needs and concerns. Benefit from tailored insights as your RMT provides education customized to your condition. This includes an at-home exercise plan, self-care tips, and an explanation of the benefits of Lymphatic Drainage. You'll also receive guidance on what to expect during and after the treatment. Recommendations for compression garments may be discussed with you. During this initial session, your RMT will work collaboratively with you to craft a personalized treatment plan. This plan will encompass recommendations for the frequency of treatments and the optimal duration, all tailored to your unique condition. 45-Minute Treatment: Following the assessment and education, indulge in a 45-minute Lymphatic Drainage treatment. The treatment starts and ends with neck lymphatic drainage techniques while concentrating on 1 or 2 other areas of focus. Generally this treatment avoids lotions, but may use a small amount for skin resistance if needed.

Please note that this appointment type is exclusively reserved for medical conditions. If you are seeking whole body detoxification or general wellness lymphatic drainage, please use that Assessment type when booking. Medical Lymphatic Drainage Massage proves to be a pivotal component of your self-care routine, amplifying localized circulation of oxygenated blood. It serves to invigorate the lymphatic system, facilitating the swift removal of unwanted cellular debris and excess fluid. This acceleration in the healing process ensures a quicker recovery for you and/or maintenance of certain medical condition(s). Whether for specific medical conditions or after injury or surgery, managing swelling, bruising, and discomfort is crucial for effective healing. This is where our expertise in harnessing the lymphatic system's anatomy and physiology comes into play. The Inflammation Phase, occurring within 24-72 hours post-injury or surgery, signals heightened activity in the lymphatics to repair and soothe the affected area. Yvonne’s provides a initial 60 minute comprehensive session which includes: 15-Minute Comprehensive Assessment: Our expert Combined Decongestive Therapist (CDT) conducts a detailed assessment, prioritizing your individual needs and concerns. 15-Minute Education and Self-Care Guidance: Benefit from personalized insights as your CDT provides tailored education specific to your condition. This includes a customized at-home exercise plan, self-care strategies, and an explanation of the manifold benefits of Lymphatic Drainage. Additionally, you'll receive guidance on what to anticipate during and after each treatment. Discussions regarding potential recommendations for compression garments may also take place. During this initial session, your CDT collaborates with you to craft a bespoke treatment plan. This plan encompasses recommendations for treatment frequency and duration, all tailored to your unique condition. 30-Minute Treatment: Following the assessment and educational segment, you'll indulge in a 30-minute Lymphatic Drainage treatment. The session commences and concludes with neck lymphatic drainage techniques, with a primary focus on your identified areas of concern. In general, this treatment avoids the use of lotions, although a small amount may be applied for enhanced skin resistance, if necessary.

If you have not seen Yvonne before for Medical Lymphatic Drainage, you must book a 60 minute Assessment. During this session, Yvonne will review your progress and gather feedback from your previous treatment, building upon the improvements achieved. Adjustments to the treatment will be made based on your feedback and direction to ensure we are attaining optimal results. This treatment aids in moving fluid throughout the body, assisting in the removal of toxins to the liver and kidneys for filtration. It also mobilizes the immune system, expediting the healing process. The inflammation phase of healing typically initiates within 24 hours after surgery, but it can persist for 2 weeks or longer. As each individual's healing process varies, we suggest beginning with two sessions per week for the initial two weeks. Together, we can determine the subsequent treatment plan based on your body's response and needs. Our post-operative clients often continue working with us throughout the later stages of healing, focusing on fibrosis and scar tissue treatment. As your body progresses through the healing stages post-surgery, its needs evolve. The final stages are crucial for deeper healing layers and collagen increase to strengthen the new tissue. Lymphatic Drainage assists in softening fibrosis, while skilled myofascial techniques complement these results by making scar tissue more pliable. For chronic conditions such as Lymphedema, Lipedema, or Venous Insufficiency, our aim is to alleviate symptoms to a comfortable and manageable level. We then transition to maintaining your health with personalized suggestions for self-care and suitable exercises tailored to your lifestyle. In general, this treatment avoids the use of lotions, though a small amount may be applied for enhanced skin resistance if necessary.
