Our Podiatric Medical Assistants are trained healthcare professionals who work independently under the delegation of our Chiropodists to provide hands-on patient care. They perform a range of clinical services, including post-operative dressing changes, physical therapy modalities such as therapeutic ultrasound and shockwave therapy, and footwear fittings. They also work in tandem with our Chiropodists to support orthotic fittings.
Whether you're receiving break-in instructions for your custom orthotics or undergoing a therapeutic treatment to reduce pain and improve mobility, our Podiatric Medical Assistants are here to deliver personalized, professional care aligned with your treatment plan.

Annual Orthotic Reviews – What to Expect
Annual orthotic reviews are performed by our highly trained Podiatric Medical Assistants to ensure your devices remain in good condition. These reviews focus specifically on the orthotics themselves—checking for wear and tear, evaluating the condition of padding, and ensuring that covers are intact. Regular reviews help to prolong the life and effectiveness of your orthotics.
Please note:
These appointments do not include an assessment or follow-up with your prescribing Chiropodist, as their involvement is not necessary for routine orthotic checks. Annual reviews are not intended to assess foot health, biomechanics, or any changes in your condition. They also do not address new or recurring concerns, nor are they used to prescribe or order new orthotics.
If you are experiencing any new symptoms, changes in your foot function, or feel that your current orthotics are no longer meeting your needs, a separate assessment with a Chiropodist will be required.”
