Rachel is a Clinical Esthetician & Registered Massage Therapist. She earned her Diploma from ACMT offering both Therapeutic & Relaxation Massage, and is also certified in Myofacial Cupping. She is a Certified Clinical Esthetician graduating from Lakeland College's full time Esthetics course with an extra semester in Clinical Esthetics focusing on Skin Anatomy & Physiology and Skin Disorders & Disease. The Clinical courses provided her with training using the latest technology for Clinical Facials, Laser Technology, Chemical Peels, Microdermabrasion, Micro-Needling and Dermaplaning.

Direct and indirect soft tissue mobilization techniques are used to reduce fascial tension, restoring normalcy in muscles and surrounding tissue. The aim of MFR is to help the body’s fluids (such as blood and lymphatic fluid) flow smoothly. Keeping fluids flowing smoothly reduces harmful fluid retention and makes the body’s immune system more effective. Fascia is tissue found in all parts of the body including the viscera, and connects all of the body’s structures at both superficial and deep levels. The therapist evaluates the fascia to find areas of restriction, and then uses soft tissue manipulation to make sure the length and tension of the fascia are properly balanced. Throughout the treatment, manual osteopaths continually reassess the state of the body’s tissues.
