Hot basaltic stones are used to glide over the body, creating increased circulation and flushing out areas of tension. The heat from the stones penetrates to deeper layers of tissue, allowing for greater relief of muscle tightness as well as a deeper relaxation. The option of using cooler stones can also be incorporated with the hot stones. This technique helps to reduce muscle pain and tightness and further increase the circulation in the tissues.
