From a young age, I’ve been fascinated by the human body — how it moves, how it compensates, and how it heals. That curiosity led me to earn a degree in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University and complete my Massage Therapy training at Langara College.
My own experience with sports injuries gave me a deep appreciation for the impact of manual therapy — not just in relieving pain, but in helping the body function at its best.
During my training, I worked with diverse populations including spinal cord injury patients, athletes, seniors, and office workers. These experiences shaped my client-centered approach and taught me to treat the whole person, not just the symptoms.
In addition to massage therapy, I integrate advanced assessment techniques from NeuroKinetic Therapy (NKT) and Proprioceptive Deep Tendon Reflex (P-DTR) into my sessions.
NKT identifies dysfunctional movement patterns in the body — for example, when one muscle overworks to compensate for another that’s underperforming. By correcting these imbalances, clients often experience longer-lasting relief and improved movement.
P-DTR addresses dysfunctions in the nervous system caused by faulty sensory input — like overstimulated receptors or old injuries that haven't fully resolved neurologically. By resetting these reflexes, the body can return to a more balanced, pain-free state.
My goal is always to help clients move, feel, and live better by addressing the root cause of dysfunction — not just the symptoms.
Outside of the clinic, I stay active through weightlifting, badminton, hiking, swimming, and meditation — practices that keep me grounded and reflect the lifestyle I encourage in my clients.
