Rie (Ri-É) moved to Canada from Japan to study Massage. A graduate of the Spa practitioner Program at West Coast College of Massage Therapy, Rie has over 15 years experience providing bodywork at some of the premier spas in Whistler, Vancouver, Cortes Island and Bowen Island. Rie is trained in multiple modalities including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Ayurvedic, Thai and Shiatsu Massage. She integrates all of these practices in her treatments for a combination of muscle release and deep relaxation.
Rie has worked with hundreds of clients over the years from professional athletes, to expectant mothers, to seniors, and everyone in between. Her practice is grounded in deep listening to the specific needs of each client. Her style is particularly suited for people looking to reduce accumulated stress held in their bodies, athletes aiding repair and recovery, and people looking for greater mobility.

All new RMT patients require an initial assessment. Initial Assessment Your first appointment will begin with a brief but comprehensive assessment (approximately 5–15 minutes) to establish your treatment goals and confirm that massage therapy is clinically appropriate. If it is not, your therapist will provide guidance or referral to a more suitable provider. Mandatory Documentation An online intake form, consent form, and full health history must be completed prior to receiving any treatment. If you prefer to complete forms in the clinic, please arrive 15 minutes early. Treatment Time After the assessment, the remainder of your booked session will be dedicated to hands-on care. Our therapists conduct all required clinical examinations efficiently to ensure safety and maximize hands-on treatment time.
