Veraleen graduated York University with a degree in Kinesiology & Health Sciences. Her passion to help others’ physical health brought her to Sutherland-Chan to pursue massage therapy. Through the program, she has gained clinical experience working with a wide demographic of people with various conditions and musculoskeletal issues. Her goal is to provide treatment that is tailored to each client in order to achieve long term effects towards their overall well-being.

In her free time, Veraleen tries to stay active by playing a variety of sports - most recently, bowling. She also loves finding new restaurants, fishing, and exploring new cities.

Cupping therapy involves the application of plastic cups on the skin using a pump-like applicator to adjust the level of suction. The cups can stay in place and/or be manually manipulated by the RMT using a variety of techniques to lift and spread the tissue. This increases circulation at a superficial level and specifically targets the fascial layer between the skin and the muscles to reduce adhesions and pain, increase range of motion and improve posture. Cupping therapy facilitates deep tissue massage by allowing more space for the underlying muscles to effectively soften and release.
