Rory Sandstone R.Ac. has been using acupuncture to treat pain and injury for over 15 years.
He has spent his career researching and developing protocols and methods for treating acute injuries, chronic and neurological pain conditions, as well as preparatory sport-specific protocols for athletes and active people.
Rory applies a deep knowledge of human anatomy to the comprehensive systems theory of classical acupuncture blending refined clinical diagnosis with modern research and science.
He has been an educator for nearly 10 years and has taught orthopaedic acupuncture, anatomy and Chinese medicine theory at the collegiate and professional development level. Additionally, from 2017-2021, Rory served as Program Dean for one of the largest Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Programs in Canada.

Book this appointment if you are suffering from a new injury which as occurred in the last 6 weeks. We will examine the injury, establish a recovery plan, and perform our first treatmen.
In this session we will focus on a applying the myofascial dry needling techniques of acupuncture for a previously discussed complaint. Please note that if this is your first session, you are asked to book an Initial Dry Needling Acupuncture session.
Book this session if you are seeking dry needling therapy and you not been previously assessed, or if you were referred for dry needling by another professional. We will do a short exam to identify the areas of treatment followed by a session of dry needling acupuncture.
We will have an update of progress made and spend most of the session doing acupuncture and related therapies. Approx. 45 min
We will examine your primary complaints and reasons for seeking treatment, perform a intake and assessment, and establish a treatment plan and goals.
For ages 0-16. A shorter session for address the health concerns of your child using a gentler approach, special techniques, and dietary and lifestyle recommendations if necessary.
Are you looking to use acupuncture to fine-tune your joints and system to help your training? Book this session for a comprehensive intake where we will blend sports medicine and acupuncture to optimize your range of motion and joint movements to keep your body ready for your sport. This is most useful for those who are in training for an athletic event, or are consistently training in a sport or physical discipline.
In these sessions we will address the neuromuscular imbalances and other restrictions which were identified in the Sport Acupuncture Consultation as part of your established treatment plan.
Book this if it has been more than 2 months since your last session, or if it is a new complaint we are working on. We will have a brief update and assessment followed by a treatment.
