Physiotherapy Initial Visit With Shockwave Therapy40 minNew patient

80-90% effective at treating soft tissue, tendon, heel and joint pain in 3-6 treatments! Shockwave therapy utilizes high pressure waves of compressed air to mechanically break up calcification and scar tissue caused by repetitive stress. Physiological effects of the shockwave include: - Increased cell permeability and metabolism, as shockwaves influence the tissues on a cellular level. - Revascularization effect, where the renewed blood flow promotes tissue healing and regeneration. - Pain control and reduction (Gate Control theory) - Reduction of adhesions and fibrotic tissue prohibitive of healing. - Muscle tone recovery. Proven results for chronic, traditionally difficult-to-treat disorders such as: - Plantar Fasciitis - Achilles Tendinopathy - Trigger Point Therapy - Jumper’s Knee - Stress Fractures - Bursitis - Hallux Rigidus - Shin Splints - Tennis Elbow - Non-Healing Ulcers - Calcific Rotator Cuff Tendonitis - Scar Tissue Treatment - Hamstring Tendinopathy

Physiotherapy Running Assessment60 minNew patient

A running assessment typically takes about an hour. You should arrive with your running shoes, (multiple pairs if you use them) and be prepared to run on a treadmill for about five minutes. The Physiotherapist will first ask about your running history, your goals, and current or past injuries. They will then perform an assessment of strength and range of motion, as well as some specific tests based on your history of injury. Afterwards, your running will be examined in slow motion to determine how your form may be positively or negatively affecting your running. You will review this information with the physiotherapist and they will provide recommendations for improving your running form. Physiotherapy Titleist Performance Institute Golf Assessment60 minNew patient

To achieve an efficient swing, a golfer must first be screened. A proper screen involves an assessment of swing mechanics, biomechanics, physical fitness, movement quality, current health, and injury history. The TPI movement screen is a simple test to quickly evaluate a player’s physical capabilities. The results of that assessment are used to determine how technical elements of the player’s swing could be related to what their body can or cannot do. Once this screen is finished, the results are used to create a plan unique for that golfer. The plan may include fitness training, physical therapy treatment, coaching of swing mechanics and biomechanics.
