"I was in grade six when my Grandpa had a stroke that left him paralyzed down
one side of his body. The experience and ongoing pain changed his personality—he also felt a great deal of anger towards his physiotherapist. Even as a child I wondered why the person who was supposed to be helping him, was instead a source of frustration and helplessness!
That question planted a seed that would grow to become my core value as a medical professional - empathy.
After many years in the profession, I have never lost my passion for helping people gain back control over their pain, and getting back to the lives they love. I also believe ongoing education is the key to providing patients with the best, evidence-based care available.
Since becoming co-owner of Clarkson Physio in 2018 it has been my privilege to see each and every client given the highest level of care. When someone walks through our doors they are put at ease, listened to with empathy, given hope and then put firmly on the path back to a life of full and fearless participation."
