Ryan earned his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia and is currently pursuing his Master’s in Rehabilitation Science at UBC. He is fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English and enjoys working with individuals of all ages and abilities.
With experience coaching high school and club volleyball teams, Ryan is knowledgeable in injury prevention for both sport and recreational activities. He also brings valuable experience from working with individuals with disabilities, having spent two years supporting people with spinal cord injuries at ICORD and volunteering at adaptive sport events with organizations such as BC Wheelchair Basketball and BC Wheelchair Floorball. His main goal when working with patients is to support their return to daily activities and independence by developing personalized exercise treatment plans that meet their specific needs.
Ryan continues to stay active by playing in recreational volleyball leagues across the Lower Mainland and enjoys trying new sports to challenge himself. He is also passionate about music and cooking, and is always open to food and song recommendations!
