Ryan Smith, RMT
SaveRyan has been a Registered Massage Therapist for two years. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education from Brock University and graduated from The Ontario College of Health and Technology with a diploma in massage therapy. Ryan has a particular interest in coaching and has been certified with the National Coaching Certification Program since 2016 (competitive/introductory level).
Ryan has experience working with anyone from athletes to office workers in varying age groups. He has seen athletic injuries, repetitive strain injuries, postural strain and chronic pain syndromes. Ryan considers himself as a therapeutic practitioner using treatment strategies to help his clients achieve pain free living. These treatment strategies include trigger point therapy, myofascial release therapy, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation stretching, postural analysis and the correction of postural imbalances. He frequently uses education and exercise to help maintain and encourage an overall healthy lifestyle.
Growing up in Oshawa, Ryan has always remained active. He has enjoyed playing soccer, rugby and hockey throughout the years and has also coached youth soccer.
