Ryan received his Registered Massage Therapy Diploma from West Coast College of Massage Therapy. He also completed an 11 month Spa practitioner program. Ryan believes relaxation is key to a successful treatment and utilizes both therapeutic and relaxation techniques such as Swedish massage, contractile myofascial release, joint mobilizations, passive and active stretches.
Ryan is currently working on obtaining Manual Lymphatic Drainage certification to help treat swelling, cuts, bruising, fractures, whiplash, rotator cuff injuries, cold hands and feet, cellulite, acne, torticollis, trigeminal neuralgia fibromyalgia and to accelerate wound healing
Ryan has experience working with athletes, runners, office and construction workers, ICBC clients that have soft tissue injuries as well as pregnant mothers. He has treated clients onsite in a number of athletic events such as the New Westminster Hyacks Football practices, Western Canada Soccer Showcase, Surrey International World Music Marathon, UBC Varsity Outreach, etc. Ryan has also volunteered his services at multiple outreaches via WCCMT such as the BC Women’s Hospital Maternity Outreach (difficult pregnancies), Multiple Sclerosis and Fibromyalgia clinics and Friends for Life (HIV clinic).
Ryan became a registered massage therapist to help his mother with her ongoing battle with fibromyalgia. Because of his passion for his profession and holistic treatment style, Ryan has a high rate of success treating whiplash, headaches, migraines, lower back pain, plantar fasciitis, rotator cuff tears, and TMJ disorders.
Ryan’s hobbies include working out, cooking, spending time with friends, and video games.
