**BC Registered Massage Therapist**
Sandra was in the first graduating class of the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Vancouver, Canada. After graduating, she first worked in Calgary and Banff before the Olympics. There she worked with athletes from all around the world for two years. Most of her career, 20 years, she spent in the wonderful town of Whistler, BC. While in Whistler, her partner and herself had a company; All Season’s Sports Massage. She also had two clinics in the Delta Hotel and another in the main village. At these clinics she had 24 other registered massage therapists working with her. A little while later, she had a four room spa at the Chateau Whistler, which, in 1997, was turned into a 13 room spa. She had helped to design and gained partners to open The Spa at Chateau Whistler. There were 42 registered massage therapists and 35 employees, who helped to run it. In 2004, she sold her shares of the spa to her partner, Bruce Croxon (from Dragon’s Den). Mr. Croxon went on to build six more spas from the original one Vida Wellness.
Sandra has a deep regard for being an RMT. She loves what she does and loves to help people. Over the 30 years that she has been an RMT, she has taken many courses. She studied Ayurvedic medicine for over six years; The Spa at the Chateau Whistler was the first in Canada to have offered these treatments. She also studied Shiatsu the year following her graduation at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy, later on she studied at the Hoffman Institute, and did a week of therapy healing. She has also done studies in nutrition and wellness at Simon Fraser University and has done studies where she worked with cancer patients regarding nutrition and wellness.
Some other areas she specializes in are deep tissue massage, myofascial, tissue, hip, back, neck, progressive core strengthening, functional approach to weight training and rehab, reiki energy healing, crystal healing, spiritual resume of light healing, polarity therapy training. She also has extensive knowledge in hormone therapy for women (HRT).
One area in particular that Sandra has taken a huge passion to, is the BEMER (Bio-Electro-Magnetic-Energy). She has training using BEMERs and even owns one of her own. BEMERs use pulse electromagnetic fields as a vehicle to deliver a specific pulsed therapy that increases circulation in the small blood vessels, which make up 75% of our circulatory system. It is the most amazing medical machine that she has seen in her life. It takes away pain, speeds up healing, and reverses the aging process!
