Sandy Johansson is a family, all ages Nurse Practitioner with a focus on mental health, wellness coaching and integrative medicine. She believes in working through a holistic and integrative health lens to help you optimize your brain and body health. Unlike conventional healthcare providers who may focus solely on treating symptoms, Sandy believes in blending the best evidence based practices of western and functional medicine to identify and treat the underlying root causes of illness. This integrative health approach can help patients feel confident they are receiving highly skilled and comprehensive care in a safe and supportive setting. Sandy will work alongside naturopathic doctors and other allied health professionals to ensure each patient's individual healthcare needs are addressed. Sandy is a Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta. She completed her bachelor's degree in nursing in 2009, and her masters degree in 2018 with *Athabasca University*. With over 15 years of clinical experience, Sandy is also a **certified Heartmath trainer, LENS level 2 certified neurofeedback practitioner and ART provider**. As a Nurse Practitioner, Sandy has advanced education and training to assess, diagnose, treat, order diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and make referrals to other healthcare professionals to manage the ongoing comprehensive healthcare needs of patients across the lifespan.

During this 60-minute session, we’ll gather your medical history, discuss your health concerns, and determine the best approach to neurofeedback for your needs. This session provides the foundation for your treatment plan. It is recommended to do a minimum of 3 LENS appointments.
