A brace assessment is designed for individuals recommended to obtain a medical-grade brace for their specific issue. This 30-minute appointment involves a physiotherapist evaluating the concerned area and discussing the different bracing options available. After determining the most suitable brace for your needs, measurements will be taken. The assessment itself is complimentary, and you'll receive the cost of the recommended brace, allowing you to decide whether to purchase it from us or take some time to consider. Many private insurance plans may cover medical bracing, and a quote can be provided once the brace assessment is scheduled.
A follow up treatment is designed for patients who have previously undergone an initial assessment or reassessment with our physiotherapists. Each follow-up session lasts 30 minutes and includes hands-on treatment from the physiotherapist. It's important to schedule a follow-up only if it is within three months of your last assessment; otherwise, a reassessment is required if more than three months have passed. If it has been over eight months, you will need to book a new initial assessment.
We are proud partners of the Stoney Creek Sabres! As part of our SCGHA partnership, all current players, coaches, staff, and their immediate family members receive 15% off their Initial Assessment. During this comprehensive 60 minute visit, your physiotherapist will assess your injury, provide a diagnosis, and start you on a customized treatment plan to get you back on the ice (or back to life!). An initial assessment is designed for new patients who have never been to our clinic. Lasting 60 minutes, this session gives the physiotherapist ample opportunity to review your health history thoroughly and evaluate the area of concern. Additionally, returning patients who haven't visited in over nine months should also schedule an initial assessment. Please note: You may be asked to verify your SCGHA affiliation at your first appointment.
A reassessment is intended for patients returning with a new issue after their previous visit. If it has been over four months since their last appointment, a reassessment is required. This session lasts an hour, giving the physiotherapist ample time to evaluate and address the new concern.
