Life can be complicated, especially when your emotions feel too big to manage or relationships start to feel painful instead of supportive. Whether you’re a teen figuring out who you are, or an adult feeling stretched thin by responsibilities and expectations, therapy can be a place to breathe, reflect, and heal. I help people learn about their emotions, build healthier relationships, and feel more at ease in their own skin. Using a empathetic and collaborative approach, my goal is to help individuals, parents, and families explore themselves and their relationships, as well as develop capacities for mental and emotional well-being.
I take an eclectic and trauma-focused approach to therapy, because no one’s story is the same. Together, we’ll explore your experiences with compassion and curiosity, while finding practical tools that help you feel more grounded. I draw from such models of care as Attachment Theory, Trauma-Informed Care, CBT, and DBT to create a style that fits your needs.
If you're feeling stuck in emotional patterns, struggling to connect with others, or finding it hard to understand your emotions, my person-centred and attachment-based approach could help you develop healthier ways of coping, relating, and healing. Please book online, or call the clinic, to schedule a free 20-min consultation. I offer both in-person and online therapy sessions.
A little about me:
I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. For over 10 years I have worked in Mental Health, gaining experience and developing my skills from a variety of treatment and care environments. Since I started my career, I have worked in the community, hospital, and private sector, providing care to both adolescents (teens) and adults requiring mental health support.
I’m a self-described lover of learning, with a passion for helping others. I started my education by earning a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology at the University of New Hampshire. Continuing to be motivated by a strong desire to have a career as a health care professional, I went back to school to complete my Bachelors of Social Work at York University. I then finished my formal education by earning a Masters of Social Work at the University of Toronto.

They can evaluate and develop a personalized care plan that addresses a person's needs more effectively. This can include the type of therapy, medications, and other treatment options that will work best for your unique symptoms. 2. Access to counselling and prescription medication (if needed) doesn't involve long wait times. 3. It is a holistic approach, CNPs are trained in the nursing model to consider the whole person when addressing mental health issues. They take into account the person’s background, lifestyle, family dynamics, and other variables that can influence mental health.
