Sarah is a registered Social Worker and has provided care and support to Women, families, and children for over 10 years, both in Canada and internationally.
Sarah loves to learn new skills and strategies to grow her clinical practice. Sarah is interested in helping clients achieve their goals through collaboration and support. Sarah believes that connection and community are essential to the redesign of systems for equitable access to better serve Women, families, and other under-resourced groups.
Sarah practices using trauma-informed Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative and Somatic approaches including level one Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR.)
Sarah is a Mom to three awesome kids. Sarah is proudly neurodivergent and enjoys all things coffee, weightlifting, and reading.

EARLY INTERVENTION MATERNAL MENTAL HEALTH (One on One Care) This program is beneficial for all mothers and is especially set up to assist: Women with a previous history of anxiety/depression or who are experiencing high stress or worry surrounding pregnancy, delivery and motherhood. Women who want to learn more about how to prepare their mental health for the changes of motherhood. Goal of this program is preventative care starting prenatally with a seamless transition to ongoing care postpartum. -One on one psychotherapy sessions that can be attended solo or with a partner. -Three prenatal visits: available at any time during pregnancy but typically booked in the 3rd trimester in preparation for delivery. -Three to six postpartum visits: Week 2-4, Week 6-8, week 10-14 and after delivery - with ongoing care available. Topics will be tailored to individual needs after meeting with your therapist but may include: -Thoughts and fears about delivery / Review of delivery experience and feelings -What is and how to practice self compassion -Setting up realistic early motherhood expectations / Current motherhood challenges (for house, sleep, relationship, family, other children, boundaries) -Plan for what to do when feeling overwhelmed or when things are not going as planned -Sleep education / importance -Prioritizing needs and boundaries: “Doing it all / Super Mom mentality” -Shifting self and body image (physical, career, home) **Contact us if you're looking for other dates and times.**

If you have had an initial assessment within the past 4 months, please book a follow up. If it has been over 4 months since your last session, please book an initial visit appointment as we will need to re-assess goals and treatment plan. Follow-up sessions will focus on the wellness plan that has been designed, and/or any additional concerns that may have arisen since your previous session.
At the initial visit your therapist will have the opportunity to get to know you and work collaboratively with you to set goals and a treatment plan depending on where you are in your wellness journey. Confidential, non-judgemental and compassionate counselling will be offered in areas of anxiety, depression, loss and grief, self-esteem, stress management, family relationships, parenting and trauma. The therapeutic approaches used in session are informed from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

Designed to prepare expectant parents for breastfeeding before their baby arrives. It covers essential topics such as the benefits of breastfeeding, proper latch techniques, positioning, and how to manage common challenges like sore nipples or low milk supply. The session may also include information about pumping, storing milk, and how partners can support breastfeeding. By attending, parents gain confidence and knowledge to help ensure a successful breastfeeding experience once their baby is born.
Assessment of mom and baby as a unit to ensure that both are thriving and adjusting during the fourth trimester. Babies are assessed following hospital discharge and evaluated for feeding, weight, hydration, jaundice, umbilical treatment, and Bilirubin. Mothers receive a comprehensive assessment that includes but is not limited to breastfeeding support, bleeding, wound care, mental health and mood, body healing (C-section or Vaginal delivery)
Counselling is a form of self-care building on your strengths and resiliency. Meeting with a trained counsellor can support your mental, emotional, and relational well-being. This complimentary consultation will allow you to ask the questions you need to in order to make an informed decision of whether you would like to move forward with counselling.
Follow-up sessions will focus on the plan that has been designed, and/or any additional concerns that may have arisen since your previous session.

Together, you will set goals and develop a personalised plan that aligns with where you are in your sexual and emotional wellbeing journey. Confidential, non-judgemental, and compassionate support is offered in areas such as desire and arousal concerns, body image, intimacy after trauma or illness, sexual pain, relationship dynamics, identity exploration, and communication challenges. Therapeutic approaches are informed by evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and are delivered with a trauma-informed, inclusive, and sex-positive lens.

Working with a trained counsellor can support your emotional, relational, and sexual well-being—whether you're navigating challenges, exploring desires, or seeking deeper connection with yourself or a partner.
