AjouterSatvir has a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University. She worked for a year as a Kinesiologist before beginning her Masters of Physiotherapy at the University of British Columbia. After graduating, Satvir lived in New York for 3 years where she worked as a physical therapist in a hospital and private clinic setting before returning back home to Canada. Since graduating in 2016, Satvir continues to work in both hospital settings and private practice.

Satvir has always had a strong interest in pelvic health physiotherapy and has taken several courses to be able to assess and treat clients dealing with pelvic pain or dysfunction. After receiving compassionate pelvic physiotherapy care during and after her own pregnancies, Satvir loves being able to help clients during their prenatal and postpartum stages of life. She enjoys being able to assist clients meet their treatment goals through a biopsychosocial approach, the application of education, manual techniques and exercise prescription.
In her spare time, Satvir enjoys going on walks with her family, hiking with her friends and travelling with her husband and daughters whenever she gets a chance.
Satvir offers services in both English and Punjabi.

The assessment process involves developing an individualized treatment plan to address your unique needs (e.g., physical, cognitive, balance, vision, mood, or other issues). We will help you to decide when it is best to go back to school, work or play and how to do so in the safest and quickest way possible. The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is the joint that connects the mandible (lower jawbone) to the skull. This joint allows the jaw to move up and down and side to side, allowing for actions such as talking, chewing, and yawning. Dysfunction of the TMJ can cause pain and discomfort and is known as temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD). The signs and symptoms of the temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD) can vary but may include: - Pain or tenderness in the jaw, face, neck, or shoulders - Limited ability to open or close the mouth - A clicking, popping, or grating sound when moving the jaw - A feeling of "locking" or "sticking" in the jaw - Pain when chewing or speaking - Swelling on the side of the face - Headaches, earaches, or dizziness If you are booking for a minor (18 years or under), a parent or guardian must be present during their appointment.

Vestibular rehabilitation is an exercise-based program, designed by a specialty-trained vestibular physical therapist, to improve balance and reduce problems related to dizziness. Patients typically referred for vestibular rehabilitation therapy are those diagnosed with dizziness, imbalance, vertigo, Meniere’s syndrome, benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), neck-related dizziness and migraines.
