Selina graduated from McGill University with her Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy after completing her Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology with a specialization in Athletic Therapy at The University of Winnipeg.
Her experiences include working with individuals in various settings such as sports teams at the university and professional levels, acute inpatient rehabilitation, and private orthopedic clinics seeing general orthopedic conditions and temporomandibular disorders.
Selina has completed post-graduate courses in The Physical Therapy Approach to Female Urinary Incontinence, Orthopedic Division Manual Therapy Level 1 and Soft Tissue Release Techniques. She looks forward to furthering her education in temporomandibular disorders and manual therapy.
Selina strives to ensure her clients understand their physical health through education as she believes knowledge about one’s physical abilities and current limitations sets a solid foundation for successful rehabilitation. She looks forward to collaborating with her clients to establish a treatment plan that best meets their needs and lifestyle.
When not in the clinic, Selina can be found cycling, snowboarding, playing frisbee, or indulging in chocolatines and other pastries.

We specialize in custom-made, rigid plastic splints to assist in recovering from injuries of the hand & upper extremities, including repetitive strain and post-operative care. The type of splint is best determined after an assessment with your hand therapist as typically there's several options. The cost of the splint varies according to the type. We can only fabricate 1 splint (i.e. on the right OR left upper extremity) per single appointment time slot. We can schedule back to back appointments if you require splints for both hands.

Treatment includes extensive education regarding the diagnosis, symptoms and self-care strategies to help with recovery. The initial examination involves taking a thorough history as well as examination of the temporomandibular joints and neck. The majority of individuals with TMD also suffer from neck pain, hence the importance of the neck examination. Treatment involves a strong emphasis on education. Following the initial examination, the client is provided with an anatomy lesson of the involved muscles and joints, the mechanics of jaw movements, and advice on methods to reduce strain to the jaw and neck. Other components of treatment may include self-manual therapy, self-massage techniques, soft tissue stretching and active exercise prescription.

Vestibular rehabilitation is an exercise-based therapy program used to treat problems associated with balance, vertigo and dizziness. Specifically, it works with the parts of the brain that process balance information. A vestibular assessment will involve filling out a questionnaire, discussing the history of your condition in detail, and a series of head positioning tests, vision tests and balance tests specific to your condition. Treatment may involve self-manual techniques along with balance, vision and coordination exercises. Please note that the assessment and treatment of vestibular problems may provoke some of your symptoms. For this reason it is recommended that you have someone with you in the room during your treatment.
