Selver Serbet is a passionate and dedicated Registered Social Service Worker who brings a holistic, client-centered, and anti-oppressive approach to every aspect of their practice. With a strong belief in cultural competence and the importance of honoring everyone’s unique story, Selver empowers clients to navigate life’s challenges while embracing their strengths and building resilience.
Selver has experience working with children and youth experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and the effects of adverse life experiences. With knowledge in play-based and psychotherapy-informed practices, Selver provides safe, nurturing spaces where young people can process emotions, develop coping strategies, and strengthen self-esteem. Selver also has significant experience supporting children and youth with autism, using individualized approaches that recognize and celebrate neurodiversity while promoting growth and empowerment.
In addition to youth-focused work, Selver has worked with adults facing diverse mental health concerns, including mood disorders, PTSD, and complex trauma, as well as individuals experiencing homelessness, systemic barriers, and addiction recovery. Selver’s practice also includes meaningful experience supporting individuals who are part of the LGBTQIA2S+ community and newcomers, ensuring therapy is affirming, inclusive, and culturally responsive. Selver is fluent in English and Turkish and can provide psychotherapy sessions both in person and virtually, making support accessible to a wider range of clients.
Selver holds a Certificate in Life Skills Coaching and has completed Indigenous Studies, which further strengthen their ability to integrate cultural awareness, sensitivity, and inclusivity into practice. This foundation allows Selver to approach healing and growth with a deep respect for identity, culture, and lived experiences.
Drawing on a variety of evidence-based modalities, Selver incorporates strategies from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), strengths-based frameworks, and Narrative Therapy. With a collaborative style rooted in empathy and respect, Selver guides individuals in uncovering their strengths, building coping strategies, and cultivating lifelong skills for well-being.
At the heart of Selver’s work is the belief in empowerment—helping clients not only to overcome challenges but to thrive. With warmth, dedication, and a deep commitment to social justice, Selver walks alongside clients on their journey toward healing, growth, and meaningful change.

If a more comprehensive clinical interview is required to explore potential comorbid or differential diagnoses, additional time will be billed at $115 per hour for extended interviews or phone consultations.
