Raised in the Highlands of Cape Breton Island, Serena completed her Bachelor of Arts Degree atSt. Francis Xavier University before moving to Halifax to pursue her Massage Therapy diploma, graduating in 2011.
Over the past decade, Serena has built a strong and diverse clinical background through experience in both collaborative healthcare clinics and spa environments. This combination has helped shape her thoughtful, client-centered approach to care — blending therapeutic treatment, strong assessment skills, and individualized treatment planning. Serena is known for her calming presence, attention to detail, and ability to adapt treatments with precision to meet each client’s unique needs and goals.
Her clinical interests include injury recovery, chronic tension and pain management, stress-related conditions, prenatal care, post-surgical recovery, and supporting clients through inflammation and edema-related conditions. Her growing passion for post-operative care and swelling management has recently led her to pursue certification in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), further expanding her ability to support clients through recovery and healing.
Serena is certified in Prenatal Massage, Cupping Therapy, and Indian Head Massage, and she is deeply committed to continuing education and lifelong learning within her profession.
Outside the clinic, Serena values balance and self-care through fitness, hiking trails and mountains throughout Nova Scotia, creative writing, and drawing. She is also an enthusiastic supporter of the Halifax Mooseheads and Halifax Thunderbirds as a proud season ticket holder.
