Shannon graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 2000. She spent 9 years working at Children's Hospital. She saw outpatients, inpatients, and participated on many disciplinary teams including the autism team, brain injury team and the Pediatric Special Care Unit. In 2009, Shannon left the hospital and started working in the school system. She works with school teams to provide support to students with communication needs, including AAC, language disorders, speech and language disorders, literacy difficulties, and fluency. Shannon has also worked in private practice for 25 years. In her spare time, Shannon enjoys spending time with her family, crafting, and camping.
