Hi, I'm Shannon!
I’m a physiotherapist at Summit Physiotherapy. My career has been dedicated to musculoskeletal care since I completed my Masters of Science in Physiotherapy at the University of Alberta.
My passion continues to grow after forging a unique relationship with our local orthopedic surgeons. I have gained extensive training in assessment, conservative injury management and post-operative rehabilitation. Treatment for such conditions, chronic aches and pains, is where I can help patients the most by incorporating individualized care plans. I use therapeutic exercise, hands on care, Mulligans Manual Therapy Concepts and Functional Dry Needling to assist in my clients' recovery. The pursuit of ongoing education allows me to continue to offer other solutions for my clients’ care as appropriate.
Farming east of Red Deer with my husband, raising two busy boys, fastball, curling and community events keep me occupied when I am not at work. It has given me an appreciation for community and hard work. I strive to get my clients back to sports, back to work and back to their lifestyles by tailoring treatments to each client and their stage of healing while employing preventative techniques to avoid further/recurrent injuries. Clients of all ages can book with me today to start on their road to recovery.
