The Parent Intake Session is an opportunity for us to collaboratively explore and better understand your child or youth’s strengths, needs, and current concerns. This session helps gather relevant background information, answer questions, and support thoughtful treatment planning before meeting individually with your child or youth.
These sessions are intended for parents, caregivers, and other supportive adults involved in a child or youth's care. They provide an opportunity to discuss the child or youth's progress, explore parenting concerns, strengthen parent-child relationships, and develop strategies to support the child or youth's emotional wellbeing. This appointment length is often best suited for follow-up parent sessions, progress reviews, and focused discussion of specific concerns.
As parent and caregiver sessions often occur less frequently than child or youth appointments, the 75-minute format allows ample time for meaningful discussion, parent coaching, and collaborative planning.
