B.Sci, M.Phty
Sharni graduated from The University of Sydney with a Master of Physiotherapy in 2018. She
then went on to work in a busy sports based clinic in Sydney, Australia. During her time
there Sharni worked as a physiotherapist for a Men’s premier league football (soccer) team
and an AFL (Australian Rules Football) juniors club. With these clubs Sharni provided pre-
season injury screening, pre-season strength & conditioning, and on-field acute injury
diagnosis and management. Sharni is a firm believer of preventing injuries and re-injruies
before they happen using evidence based testing, and sport specific strength and
conditioning.
Sharni is also an APPI trained clinical pilates instructor and has completed post-graduate
courses and training in pilates/exercise re-hab, dry-needling (APA) and Sports Physiotherapy
level 1 (APA).
Sharni was a dancer for over 20 years and has her Diploma in Dance and Elite Performance.
Through dancing and pilates Sharni has developed a deep understanding of human
movement. She utilises pilates to correct abnormal biomechanics and movement patterns,
to optimise her client’s function and to help them achieve their goals.
Sharni moved to Whistler in 2020 from Australia and loves all the activities Whistler has to offer. In her spare time, you’ll find her at the gym, snowboarding, hiking, mountain biking, paddle boarding and running.
