Shawn Allen has worked to hone his skills in physiotherapy for over 23 years during this time he has focused on pain management, sports and orthopaedic physical therapy.
To further enhance his skills, he has continuously participated in clinical education courses and has advanced certifications in vestibular rehabilitation, lymphedema therapy, and manual/manipulative therapy. In addition to participating in continuing education he has taught university in graduate (doctoral programs) and undergraduate programs as an assistant professor with the University of St. Augustine, South University and as a lab instructor at the University of Calgary.
Shawn has been an invited speaker at Anhanguera and Paulista Universities in Brazil.
Knowing that lasting outcomes result from treatments that are focused on education and exercise which is augmented from modalities that include manual, manipulative, and vestibular and therapies, he is able to use best practice with evidence-based treatments to meet the needs of his clients.
