Shelby applies a patient-centred approach to rehabilitation to ensure that treatment is individualized to the patient’s abilities, interests and goals.
With a background in sport, adapted physical activity and exercise science, Shelby’s treatment style is based on therapeutic exercise and education, with the addition of manual therapy techniques to complement these components. Shelby believes in collaborating with her patient’s and providing them with the education and tools for recovery, self management and injury prevention. She likes working with individuals of all ages and activity levels to help them return to the activities that they enjoy. In her spare time, Shelby enjoys getting active through running, group fitness classes, going to the gym, and playing sports with friends!

Designed for patients who are active, returning to exercise, or preparing to begin a strength and conditioning program, to support movement confidence, sustainable performance, and long-term capacity. A comprehensive movement and strength assessment is included, which may involve reviewing technique in foundational compound lifts. Based on the findings, a personalized 4-week training plan may be provided to guide safe and effective progression.
Individualized functional assessment of strength and movement patterns to gauge readiness to resume and progress exercise safely after childbirth. Does not involve pelvic health assessment.
