Shelly Malcolm Beazley
Shelly is an active Mom to 3 awesome children- Dylan Mae (12), Canon (15), and Marley Drew (30). Shelly’s hands-on practice is shaped by 30 years of experience working with athletes as well as continuing education courses in Pain Science, Orthopedics, Muscular Imbalances, Intramuscular acupuncture, and soft tissue techniques. Shelly’s practice is greatly influenced by new directions in pain science and includes theory from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

Shelly views mentorship and coaching as the core asset of her business. She is working towards a vision of freedom for herself, her team, and her extended community of health care intra and entrepreneurs. Through empowering individual providers with their own tools for leadership, education,and genuine therapeutic alliances and we can transform the health of our world.
The majority of Shelly’s current practice is as a Physiotherapist with the Canadian Olympic Canoe Kayak Team. Her work with the team on and off the water keeps her busy locally and travelling abroad- most recently as part of the team for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games!
Over her career, Shelly has been a very active member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, holding such roles as National Division Chair of Sport Physiotherapy Canada. Shelly has been an invited speaker and presented at provincial, national, and international physiotherapy conferences on numerous topics relating to physiotherapy.

Physiotherapy led compression treatment.
This session is where we get to know you and determine the best course of action to move you closer to feeling better! Assessment of area of concern whether it is a new or existing injury, pain or weakness. This can include movement assessment, strength assessment, balance assessment, general health review, goal setting, exercise prescription and hands on treatment as required. Expect to move around so bring comfortable clothing like shorts and athletic footwear. Home exercise and mobility program will be created with you.
A 45-60 minute video consultation. A Physiotherapy assessment and treatment completed online. You will meet with your therapist, go through a detailed assessment through speaking and movement instructon. You will be educated on assessment findings and led through self treatment. You will have one on one time with your therapist to answer all of the questions you may have about your issue. This service is appropriate for new assessments, as well as for follow ups to in clinic assessments for self care and exercises review and progression. If your therapist suggests that hands on treatment is necessary, they will help you book an in clinic visit at our facility, or at a clinic near to you if our location is not close to you when public health allows. You will be emailed a link to our clinic, which will allow you to join us in our virtual clinic. Please don't hesitate to email with any questions you have about this service.
Included in a SMART STRIDE assessment is a detailed physiotherapy subjective and objective examination for current or past injury concerns to achieve a running-specific goal. Also included is a running-specific assessment of movement patterns, strength levels, and injury-specific special tests to determine an appropriate training program. A running program will be provided based on assessment findings and patient goals. Programs include suggested weekly training frequency, total volumes, and paces. Subsequent appointments are suggested to ensure a safe progression through provided programs and to rehabilitate/prevent injuries as indicated.
