Shira earned her Master of Counselling degree from City University and has additional training in complex trauma, Narrative Therapy, and mindfulness techniques. Shira has 20 years of experience as a community educator and uses accessible, illustrative metaphors to convey therapeutic concepts.
Shira is a compassionate and dedicated Registered Clinical Counselor committed to supporting individuals in their journey of personal growth and healing, She takes a strength-based, solutions-oriented approach to develop pathways towards self-empowerment and change.
She has a specialized interest in anxiety, depression, chronic stress, and complex trauma, as well as supporting the 2SLGBTQIA community, new immigrants, and those who have experienced religious trauma.
Shira utilizes an integrated, trauma-informed approach to develop meaningful interventions and works collaboratively with clients to boost their coping skills, clarity, and confidence.
