Drawing from a diverse range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, she thoughtfully tailors her approach to support emotional growth, self-awareness, resilience, and the development of adaptive coping strategies.
Her practice is grounded in a holistic biopsychosocial perspective, recognizing the interconnected influence of emotional, psychological, behavioral, social, and environmental factors on overall well-being. Through compassionate collaboration, Shireen supports clients in navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional dysregulation, adjustment difficulties, disruptive behaviors, relationship concerns, and self-harm.
Committed to fostering a safe, non-judgmental, and empathetic therapeutic environment, Shireen strives to ensure that clients feel genuinely heard, respected, and supported throughout their healing journey. Her work emphasizes emotional safety, personal empowerment, and meaningful self-exploration.
In addition, Shireen has extensive experience supporting neurodiverse children, adolescents, and adults, helping individuals and their families enhance daily functioning and overall quality of life. She provides individualized behavioral support plans and practical strategies that promote emotional regulation, independence, and sustainable well-being.
Academically and professionally, Shireen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Counselling and Psychotherapy, further advancing her clinical expertise and commitment to evidence-based practice. Shireen is also a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC) and maintains good professional standing with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
