The initial speech therapy consultation allows the speech-language pathologist (SLP) to understand concerns, review relevant background information, and observe communication skills. The session may include conversation, play-based activities, or structured tasks depending on age and needs. Following the consultation, recommendations and next steps for therapy will be discussed.

A comprehensive Speech Language Pathology assessment evaluates speech, language, and social communication skills of a child as compared to same-aged peers. The package includes a combination of standardized testing, clinical observations, as well as caregiver and/or teaching staff interviews. The assessment identifies strengths and areas of difficulty. A detailed report with recommendations is provided and may support documentation needed for a diagnosis of autism, language disorder, speech sound disorder, and more.
