Sonia started her nursing career at Eagle Ridge Hospital in 2009, after graduating with her Licensed Practical Nurse certification. Her focus was on Geriatric Care, in addition to medical/surgical nursing. In 2012, Sonia pursued further education, and obtained her certificate as a Foot Care Nurse. Sonia has the educational training, experience and skills which make her uniquely qualified to manage a wide variety of foot conditions including corns, calluses, ingrown nails, fungal nails, and diabetic foot care. As a foot care nurse, Sonia wants to provide quality foot and nail care, assist with maintaining foot health and improving mobility and quality of life.
Sonia is registered with good standing in the BC Nurses Union and is a member of the Association of Foot Care Nurses and Lower Mainland Foot Care Nurses Association. She takes pride in maintaining the highest standards of nursing practise. Professional, surgical grade tools and instruments are individually sealed in secure pouches and autoclave sterilized, according to the BC Best Practice Guidelines for Cleaning, Disinfection and Sterilization.
