Sophia is a Registered Dietitian with a Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition and a Master of Science from Western University, where she completed a two year graduate program before going on to finish her dietetic internship with Hamilton Health Sciences. She also works weekdays at McMaster Children’s Hospital, continuing to refine her expertise in pediatric nutrition within acute care settings.
Her primary specialization is pediatric nutrition, supporting infants, children, and adolescents with a wide range of nutrition needs. This includes general pediatric nutrition, growth concerns, feeding challenges, picky eating, introduction to solids, navigating cow’s milk protein allergy, formula feeding guidance, and helping families establish healthy eating habits. In addition, Sophia also offers nutrition counselling in women’s health, including prenatal, postnatal and menopause nutrition.
Sophia is committed to evidence-based research. She is enthusiastic about exploring diverse nutrition topics to support children, women, and anyone who would simply like to learn more about nutrition.
Outside of her professional work, Sophia enjoys baking, cooking, and traveling!

Book this appointment if you have not seen our lactation consultant before. A lactation visit will include the following: History: Health history of both mother and baby, including pregnancy and birth and opportunity for you to tell your story. Weight: Baby’s naked weight + Pre- and post-feeding weights Assessment: Mother’s breasts and nipples, infant’s oral anatomy, latch, positions and more Care plan and next steps: Care plan created together that you are comfortable with + that aligns with your goals. Follow-up visit may be recommended. Some support available through text following our visit.
