Our concussion program includes a comprehensive assessment and a variety of treatments to aid in your recovery: Baseline Testing, SCAT 6, Star Excursion Balance Test, Single Leg Stance, Oculomotor Assessments, Heart rate/blood pressure monitoring and SPO2

Concussion Therapy includes an assessment and manual therapy. These may include the following: Buffalo Concussion Treadmill Test, heart rate, blood pressure, SCAT 5, massage of the head and neck, therapeutic stretches and much more.

The Buffalo Concussion Treadmill Test is a validated test to measure the amount of aerobic exercise that is safe to perform, even in the acute phase after concussion. This test is performed under supervision of a Certified Athletic Therapist.

Scar Therapy is used to help alter the physical properties of a scar. It prevents adhesions, helps reduce scar sensitivity, and helps realign collagen fibers, reducing the appearance and movement restrictions.

Participants will leave this seminar with the appropriate knowledge to feel confident in taping techniques. Seminars are directed by an Athletic Therapist and are usually a two to three hour duration.

This seminar is led by an experienced Athletic Therapist and focuses on sharing the latest medical and scientific information and the best practices in understanding brain injury, sport risk factors, prevention techniques, and concussion management guidelines.

Participants will leave this seminar with the ability to adjust their chairs and workstations to minimize risk for fatigue and pain. This is an excellent way to increase awareness and to educate workers about safe work practices.

Sporting Event Coverage provided by an Athletic Therapist is recognized to be beneficial for not only the safety of the participants but also peace of mind for the spectators, volunteers, coaches, etc. that the well-being of everyone on the field is being considered.
